Introducing Mercedes Salazar

As a child, Mercedes used to collect and create her own treasures using found materials such as clay, wood, glass and wool which led her to study artisanal and contemporary jewellery in Mexico, now focusing on creating these treasures for others. Salazar proudly represents her Columbian roots and feels a deep responsibility and spiritual tie to the land there. This is why she draws on the support of more than 200 Colombian artisans who throughout their generations continue to maintain ancestral artisan techniques and bring to the fashion world a proposal full of creativity and meaning.

By nature, each product is completely unique and authentic and as the designer shares  ‘Each product is an art piece because to create it, I have taken the path of spirituality, in which Colombia has been my starting point’.
