The Cleo print was conceived as an homage to the Aegean Sea, given its huge impact and importance on trade and history.
Further inspiration for this design was found in Early 19th-century jewellery, that drew references from ships and mythical creatures, both of which formed the underpinning of the design, which is evident in the Cleo print.
As said, the beauty of old nautical ropes became integral to the “Cleo” print, deep blue in colour, drawing reference, yet again, to the Aegean Sea. With a fascination of Greek Mythology, the legend of the “deadly sirens”, who bewitched men to their fate, also features as a core element in the design.
